Korigad
A few days back, I with a couple of my friends visited a fort named as Korigad. This fort is located approximately 20km from a place called Lonaval in Pune District, Maharashtra, India. This fort belonged to the great Maratha king Shivaji, which later was captured by the British. The construction is said to date back approximately 1500 and the fort is about a little over 900 m above sea level. There are steps constructed to climb atop and it is quite tiring if you are not a regular climber. Not much is left of the fort to see but its worth the climb as its a beautiful site to see the land from such a height. The best time to visit this place would be during or just after the monsoons as the fort and the surrounding is a beautiful site.
I managed to make some pictures during the trek…
Beautiful images. Quite an adventure. Would love to go here when in Mumbai next time. Good work with camera.

Thanks Nikhil, I would suggest that if you plan a visit, plan it during monsoon.
